Scoil Bhride, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan:

ANIMALS

Wolves are big, birds are small,

Wolves are hairy but birds aren't tall.

They're nice animals in everyway,

And God created them day by day.

Squirrels and foxes are very shy,

But most of all the foxes are sly.

Squirrels run fast and are very quick,

While foxes can do a sneaky trick.

All the animals put together,

Can work quietly in sunny weather.

And in the evening, when the work is done,

They get together and are warm like a bun.
